Doesn't Anybody Stay in One Place Anymore

We ended up just spending the weekend in Perugia, which was nice because we realized that every person we had met so far knew every other person that we met. Perugia is really a small town, except for everyone is from a different country. On Friday we sampled some delicious food while enjoying the view and finished up our night on Friday with some delightful Perugian chocolate.

This is the view from the top of Perugia, close to the town's center.

More of the town center.

We went to a chocolate shop in the center of town called Sandri Perugia.
I don't even know what to say.

My friend Michael appropriately shared this song with me a few days ago. I can't get enough.

Last night we watched US beat er - tie - with England. We went to a pub in the town center where there were fair number of Americans and some pouty Austrailian and English folks. At the pub we met an American who had lived in Perugia for a couple of years who did event managing.... so at about 1 in the morning we went to a private DISCOTHEQUE! It was. so. much. fun. All those stereotypes you've heard about European discotheques? They're true. Really crummy from the outside, but when you get inside it is incredible. Two dance floors, both outside; one with a huge lit-up floor and a stage with professional dancers (...?), one on top of the pool that is continually glowing different colors. Oh and that's not to mention the huge building they have that is filled with smoke and crazy lights just exclusively for house techno music. I could go into more detail but this blog is supposed to be about my physics research soo... Right. Anyway it was a blast. The people we went with were awesome and one of the girls actually friended me on facebook even though she didn't know my last name OR speak english? Who knows. Also some guy bit my face. That is all.
